I posted this on another site. It is not the finished article, but a form of research. As stated, PLEASE do not attack another person, whether or not you agree with them. I am looking for YOUR point of view. The how and why of where you are and how you got there.

Mike Whitney – Fly by News August 6, 2008 My friend Tom Feeley is in Big trouble. He runs the web site informationclearinghouse.info which updates "news you won't find in the corporate media" every day. The site is strongly anti-war.
Alright let me start off by admitting I'm no writer, this is more of a vent than anything.I suppose I should start off with a short history. I've been with my common law wife for almost 18 yrs and been raising the daughter in question since she was 4,(currently 22).

Hello Rhiannon1774
I think the best way to describe myself is to say I come at this a bit backwards. I am not interested in a Party, I am interest in how you will effect me. That is, I have a set of ideas in my head and who comes closest to them gets my attention. Then I start the research about that candidate. I am not looking for perfection, but something that tells me that person by my standards gets it. From there, I make a decision and it becomes up to the other side to prove me wrong in my decision. I will listen but I will dissect. It also matters to me if you lied. Some comments are gaffes, while others are intentional. Granted we are all guessing at this, but I attempt to apply a rule of how can I see this in a positive way and a negative way then I decide which outweighs in my mind. I also pay attention to the media and do not take what they say as truth. I have argued that too often we mix up the news reporters and the commentators and think opinions are actually facts! I will not watch Fox News because of things they have said that are in my mind racist. I do watch all the other news shows but I lean toward PBS and CSPAN for what I consider more of the serious news. I watch political news all day and often hear the bias stuff on both sides though it seems stronger for Sen. Obama than Sen. McCain. He seemed to have been given a right of passage which offends me. I knew little about him and new voters probably know even less. I also noticed how things from those surrounding Obama are held against him, but I don't hear that about any other candidate. The media seems to report whatever the McCain camp says is the day's talking points. There is indeed bias coverage. There are racial undertone and sexist behavior. What Ii hate the most are the lies. My candidate can be wrong, but let him be wrong based on truth not opinion or half truths, etc. I also deplore the name-calling and blatant smear/fearmongering. I am astound how little information folks seem to know about the candidates and how America is driven by stereotypes. There should be honor in these campaigns. I really wish there was. I have voted in the past for D's and R's. Again, I look at interests. I am self absorbed in that way. I hope this helps!
